A while back hunky Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal was offered the role of Jason Bourne's assassin nemesis in "The Bourne Ultimatum" which is currently filming.
Now whilst out doing promotions for "Babel", Bernal confirmed to CHUD that whilst he was offered the part he had to turn down the role due to scheduling conflicts.
Bernal says that he's finishing up his directorial debut, "Deficit", a film about some rich boys who learn some tough lessons.
He's obviously not happy with how the film is coming together and is underway on major re-writes in the editing room. As a result he's simply too busy for "Bourne".
