Despite all the recent craziness in his personal life, Tom Cruise is still ready to make movies with three films in his sights at present as his potential next starring project reports Variety.

The three include the independently produced political drama "Lions for Lambs", the family drama "The Ha-Ha" for Warner Bros., and the Spike Lee-directed high concept drama "Selling Time" for Fox.

'Lambs' follows a platoon of U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan, is scripted by Matthew Carnahan ("State of Play"), and will likely have Robert Redford both as director and in a supporting role. Cruise is being courted to play a congressman and Meryl Streep for a role as a journalist.

The Chuck Leavitt-scripted 'Ha-Ha' would have Cruise playing a Gulf War veteran rendered mute by his injuries who's charged with the care of an abandoned 9-year-old.

'Time' follows a man who sells back chunks of time in his life for a chance to relive and change the worst day of his life. Lee has met with Cruise several times and is working on a rewrite of a script by Dan McDermott.

In February, Cruise looked seriously at a trio of films, none of which he ended up taking.
