Scott Kosar ("The Texas Chainsaw Massacre", "The Amityville Horror") will re-write Universal Pictures "Bell Witch" project as a starring vehicle for Reese Witherspoon reports Empire Online.
The story revolves around a first-time mother, who returns to her Tennessee home and becomes convinced that the Bell Witch, a malevolent spirit who terrorized a family and killed a man in the 1800s, is after her son.
The film, originally penned by Don Winston under the title "Our Family Troubles", was sold to Universal back in December. Witherspoon's Type A Films got involved soon after.
