ABC has picked up new series "Brothers & Sisters" for a full season, despite a fall of more than 20% from its premiere ratings reports TV.Com.

The drama series took over the post-"Desperate Housewives" slot on Sundays at 10pm and despite the fall off, its 12 million audience still makes it the top new program on any night in the 10pm hour, and the second-highest-rated new series of the season in the key demographic (beaten only by "Heroes").

"Brothers" premiered strongly after receiving negative buzz over the summer due to cast shuffles and backstage drama.
