MGM has picked up all North American rights to romantic comedy "The Pleasure of Your Company" reports the trades.
The story centers on an unlucky guy (Jason Biggs) who dresses up like cupid to propose to his girlfriend and ends up scaring her to death.
With some goading from a friend, he gives romance another try by spontaneously proposing to a waitress (Isla Fisher), only to experience more misadventures on the road to love.
Actor/comedian Michael Ian Black wrote and directed the feature, the deal making this one of only two films at this year's Toronto Film Festival to be picked up by a major distributor.
Edward Herrmann, Joe Pantoliano, Joanna Gleason, Margo Martindale and Rob Corddry also star.
