Katie Cassidy is in final negotiations to star in the "Revenge of the Nerds" redo for Fox Atomic. Kyle Newman is helming the McG-produced remake of the classic 1984 comedy reports Variety.
In "Nerds," she'll play Suzy Stone, head of the Pi Delta Pi sorority and queen of the campus. Adam Jay Epstein, Adam Goldberg and Andrew Jacobson penned the script.
Cassidy recently beat out Jessica Simpson and Lindsay Lohan for the role of Lucy Ewing in the redo of "Dallas" for 20th Century Fox. She'll also be seen in the upcoming remake of "Black Christmas", and appeared earlier this year in "When a Stranger Calls".
