Tom Hanks Visits The Acropolis

The ancient Acropolis in Athens will serve as the main setting for an upcoming Hollywood film produced by Tom Hanks reports Monster & Critics.

The Culture Ministry's Central Archaeological Council (KAS) has given the green-light for the Acropolis to be used as the backdrop for the movie 'My Life in Ruins' which is set to begin filming in Athens next month, according to Greek daily newspaper Kathimerini.

The film stars Nia Vardalos, star of the widely popular comedy 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding.' The film will be produced by Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson.
