Latino Review has posted up the first stills and the Cannes Film Festival promo reel from "Shoot 'Em Up", the action thriller starring Clive Owen that's said to include some of the fiercest and most inventive gunfights seen on screen in a long time. The film is slated for a Valentine's Day 2007 release.
No-one's sure how New Line will react to this stuff leaking this early so grab it while you can. Personally I think the clip is somewhat "eh", the over the top shoot-em-ups are a great idea and look glorious fun but otherwise there's little to no story or character on display at all - rendering the whole thing not much more than a gimmick (ala "Snakes on a Plane"). We'll get a better idea though when a proper trailer comes out before year's end.
