  • Friday's box-office estimates have the four major new releases winning the top four slots this weekend. "Gridiron Gang" is Number One this weekend and will probably earn around $13-15M, followed by Black Dahlia at around $10M, whilst "The Last Kiss" and "Everyone's Hero" battle it out for about $5M. Last week's openers "The Covenant" and "Hollywoodland" look set to plunge dramatically.

  • A bunch of exclusive and first look photos are already out from the upcoming "Day of the Dead" remake.

  • Have little interest in Tenacious D myself, but Jack Black fans should check out the title track and poster from their upcoming movie "The Pick of Destiny".

  • The first set photos from "The Golden Compass: His Dark Materials" have gone online. Take a look at the pretty trucks outside nice old English buildings. Exciting huh?

- Forget those American "Superman" DVDs forcing you to quadruple dip to get all titles - the Aussies have done it best with a 13-disc set containing the two-disc edition of "Superman Returns", the eight-disc four film Chris Reeve "Superman" set, Richard Donner's Cut of "Superman II" and the "Look, Up In The Sky!" & "You Will Believe" documentaries all in one snazzy metal box.

  • Americans do generally get the best DVD special edition artwork though, check out the gasoline can design for the 15th anniversary Reservoir Dogs DVD set.

  • "The OC" and "The Last Kiss" star Rachel Bilson has dissed those "Wonder Woman" casting rumours.

  • Have to say that the international poster and banners for Martin Scorsese's "The Departed" are more impressive than the domestic.

  • Claudia Black of "Stargate" and "Farscape" fame, along with Chris Jones of the Tex Murphy interactive adventures, star in an animated Future Noir feature entitled "Stolen Life".

  • ABC is offering one million free downloads of last season's finales of Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, and Lost.

  • "The Transporter" Director Louis Leterrier has denied the Dominic Purcell cast as "Hulk" rumours in the sequel.

  • Think you can outdo Mel Gibson in a drunken stupor? Why not try the latest viral online game with this theme.

  • Russell Davies has talked about the "Doctor Who" second Christmas special and third season surprises.

  • Jet Li has confirmed that the Jackie Chan teamup project he's doing is still on.
