Sony Pictures Classics has picked up North American and Latin American rights to "Shopgirl" helmer Anand Tucker's "And When Did You Last See Your Father?" reports Variety.
Colin Firth and Jim Broadbent will star in the film, based on British author Blake Morrison's memoir of his relationship with his dying father. Scribe David Nicholls adapted for the bigscreen.
Shooting begins in the U.K. next month, and Buena Vista Intl. will release the film overseas first in 2007.
