The Beatles had their "Yellow Submarine", now The Rolling Stones will undergo the same treatment in "Ruby Tuesday" reports the trades.
Mick Jagger has signed to co-produce the film written and directed by Paul and Gaetan Brizzi ("Fantasia 2000") with production slated to begin later this year. A winter 2008 release is being targeted.
The animated film is described as a "Faustian tale" which follows a single mom searching for happiness in New York, and will feature twelve Stones songs as part of the deal.
