FilmJerk has learned that the American remake of 2004 French comedic drama "A Little Game Without Consequence" will also serve as the cinematic reteaming of "The Mask" co-stars Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz for the first time in twelve years.
Based on a French play by Jean Dell and Gérald Sibleyras, "Consequence" follows Brad (Carrey) and Claire (Diaz), a seemingly perfect couple who pretend to break up shortly after their fifth anniversary, only to discover most of their friends and family didn't really like them as a couple in the first place.
Italian director Gabriele Muccino ("The Pursuit of Happyness") is helming with shooting set to begin October 23rd in New York City. Focus Features is releasing the flick sometime late 2007.
