Bond 22 Delayed Six Months

In one of the more reasonable delays I've heard recently for a major film, the 22nd James Bond film originally scheduled for May 2nd 2008 has been pushed back six months to November 7th 2008 says Sony Pictures.

The project, the follow-up to this Fall's upcoming "Casino Royale", was originally to have had Roger Michell ("Notting Hill") direct it. When the May 2008 date was announced, it came as a surprise to many that the studio was moving forward that quickly.

The push to November 2008 now puts a two year window between the films, the standard two year gap that was afforded to the first three Bond films that starred Pierce Brosnan. With Michell gone, the studio is now out seeking a director.
