ThinkFilm Turns On The TV Set

ThinkFilm has acquired North American rights to the highly buzzed, Jake Kasdan-directed dark comedy "The TV Set" reports the trades.

The story follows an idealistic writer (David Duchovny) who watches his dream TV project slowly dismantled by a barrage of industry executives, including a network president (Sigourney Weaver) whose lineup features such breakout hits as "Slut Wars".

Iaon Gruffudd, Lucy Davis & Judy Greer also star. The film, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, mirrors writer-director Kasdan's work in the TV industry. It will open in theaters early 2007.
