Mary McCormack (TV's "Murder One", "The West Wing", "E.R.") has joined the cast "1408", Dimension Films' horror thriller starring John Cusack reports the trades.
Based on a short story by Stephen King, the film tells the tale of Mike Enslin (Cusack), a debunker of paranormal occurrences who encounters real terror when he checks into the notorious Room 1408 at the Dolphin Hotel.
McCormack will play Lilly, Enslin's estranged wife and mother of his young daughter. "Grey's Anatomy' star Kate Walsh was previously cast in the role but had to exit due to scheduling conflicts.
Samuel L. Jackson also is on board the production as the hotel's manager. Mikael Hafstrom ("Derailed") directs and shooting begins mid-July in the UK.
