In the final episode of cancelled but much loved FOX sitcom "Arrested Development", Maeby (Alia Shawkat) tried to sell the rights to the Bluth family story to Ron Howard. Now, truth has proven stranger than fiction as Shawkat was interviewed last week for TV Guide and was asked about a potential "Arrested Development" movie being in the works in the future. She replied "Mitch [Hurwitz, creator] actually recently told us that there is a good possibility for a movie, and that he's talking to Ron Howard about it".
AICN reports that the convention booker for Doug Jones (Abe Sapien in "Hellboy") is telling people that Doug's going to be giving the motion-capture performance as The Silver Surfer for the "Fantastic Four" sequel. No word as yet on who'll be providing the voice. Jones' people have confirmed an announcement will take place at this weekend's San Diego Comic Con.
Finally, in an interview with CNN, Owen Wilson briefly spoke about the next project of Wes Anderson ("The Life Aquatic", "The Royal Tenenbaums") and his involvement: "I am going to do a movie with my friend Wes [Anderson] in India, and that's not going to be a buddy comedy movie. [I play] one of three brothers, and they go on this journey in India. I haven't really spoken to Wes yet in regards to what I can really talk about". Anderson's next project is an adaptation of the Roald Dahl classic "The Fantastic Mr. Fox".
