Film Victoria has confirmed the feature film based on the classic children's book "Where the Wild Things Are" will be made in Melbourne, Australia reports The ABC.
Tom Hanks is producing the movie, which will be filmed at Melbourne Central Studios and in regional Victoria. It's expected the film will generate an estimated $60 million for the state economy.
Recent major US productions to have shot in Melbourne include Nic Cage comic movie "Ghost Rider" and the Dakota Fanning-led film version of "Charlotte's Web".
