David Eick, executive producer of the updated and much acclaimed "Battlestar Galactica", talked with Now Playing Magazine recently about some third season spoilers.
He confirmed the 20 episodes ordered for the third season will take place in a continuous run, only taking a short break over the Christmas holidays. It's expected the first half will run alongside Sci-Fi's showing of the second season of BBC's "Doctor Who" in October. The season's second half will run concurrently with the second half of both "Stargate" seasons.
They haven't planned out the season's arc fully yet, but have got the first two-thirds already set story wise. The likes of Lucy Lawless, Richard Hatch and Dean Stockwell will all be back, and one of the early storylines will deal with a falling out between Adama and Tigh.
He says "The first three episodes are serialized. Episode Four is pretty much a standalone. Five and Six is a two-parter about the discovery of a dying base ship and a plague that has befallen the Cylons. Seven is standalone. Eight is a memory episode that goes back to that lost year and some of the things that took place. Nine is basically teeing up where we're going in the season finale, which is discovering the next big clue on the road to Earth. That is the centerpiece of the next episodes, the 10 and 11 two-parter".
