Doug Liman and Denise Di Novi are teaming to produce Venetian mystery "Vaporetto 13," based on Italian author Robert Girardi's novel of the same name reports Variety.
Storyline revolves around an American industrial diver who has a strange premonition that comes true when he discovers a submerged church in Venice that no one knows about. Church holds a dangerous secret that brings him into contact with an otherworldly woman.
Set to begin shooting in Venice in late October, it'll be directed by Gregor von Bismarck. Greg Pruss penned the adaptation. The film's style is described as "a kind of 'Trainspotting' meets Fellini set in decaying Venice" says Liman.
