Assorted franchises are on the move with several lining up further entires to push into production shortly, others are already underway:
<strong>xXx 2</strong>
Reuters indicates Scott Speedman ("Underworld", TV's "Felicity") is joining the cast of the Revolution Studios sequel "XXX: State of the Union", which Lee Tamahori begins filming this July around Los Angeles, Baltimore and Washington, D.C.. Speedman will play National Security Agency agent and adrenaline junkie Kyle Steele, who works alongside the XXX program's newest recruit (Ice Cube) to thwart a political power struggle in the nation's capital
<strong>Meet the Fockers</strong>
<a href="http://www.comingsoon.net/news.php?id=4693" target="_blank">Coming Soon</a> scored the following scoop from a rider on the Universal Studios lot tour: "They are kicking off the filming of Meet the Fockers and the only detail that I was able to discover was that they were stockpiling foliage. Lots and lots of foliage. They are putting it around the Fockers house...which will apparently be surrounded by a thick jungle. It goes along with Mrs. Focker's character being an eco-freak"
<strong>Gladiator II </strong>
Maltan spy 'Camilleri' reports: "As you are aware Gladiator was filmed on our tiny island of Malta. 85% of "Troy" was also filmed here. Next September the shooting of Gladiator II shall commence - sets are already being built. I cannot confirm this news but here everybody is talking about it".
<strong>The Transporter II </strong>
Variety reports that EuropaCorp will start production on the $32 million actioner The Transporter 2 at the end of July. 20th Century Fox will again distribute, the Miami-set sequel will star Jason Statham. Cory Yuen and Louis Leterrier will direct
