Grind & City Sequel Potential

Despite still being in the midst of shooting the first one, Director Robert Rodriguez talked to MTV recently and confirmed he's already planning ahead for a sequel which would utilise some of the stuff he wasn't able to incorporate.

Amongst them might be feature versions of the 'faux trailers' that will air between the two mini-films that compromise "Grind House". Rodriguez says "If those trailers are great enough, they might be part of the feature we do for the next GRIND HOUSE".

Meanwhile, Aussie filmmaker Alex Proyas ("The Crow", "I, Robot") talked about a potential sequel to his acclaimed 1998 sci-fi thriller "Dark City" on Mystery Clock. The original film starring William Hurt, Kiefer Sutherland and Jennifer Connelly, starts out as a neo-noir and eventually turns into a twisted sci-fi tale.

Proyas says "DC was hardly a smash hit at the box office so it is unlikely, if a sequel was made, they'd give me a huge budget to work with. So don't worry too much about that! I am more and more interested in the idea of a sequel, and who knows, after the special edition comes out, with everyone's support behind it, a sequel...maybe who knows...but I've already said too much.
