"The Sopranos" & "Rescue Me" scribe Michael Caleo is adapting the French novel "Malavita" by Tonino Benacquista for Luc Besson's EuropaCorp. Pic will likely be filmed half in English and half in French, with appropriate subtitles. "Malavita" tells the story of an American mob boss in the Witness Protection Program who's hiding with his family in the Normandy region of France. The FBI cannot control him from imposing his will on the small, unsuspecting town he lives in.
