Jon Foster ("Stay Alive", "The Door in the Floor") has been cast in the lead role opposite Russell Crowe in the GreeneStreet Films thriller "Tenderness" reports Variety.
Story revolves around a violent teenager (Foster) who may have murdered his own family. Crowe plays a cop who tries to unravel the teen's complicated past. Sophie Traub and Laura Dern also star in the pic, which has begun shooting in Gotham.
Emil Stern adapted Robert Cormier's novel, Aussie film director John Polson ("Swimfan", "Hide and Seek") is directing. Shooting is expected to begin once Crowe wraps work on Ridley Scott's "American Gangster".
