A Writers Studio in Dallas on Tuesday featured acclaimed author Michael Cunningham, whose books-turned-movies include "The Hours", "A Home at th End of the World, and "Flesh and Blood" which is currently being turned into a mini-series.

During the audience Q and A with the author, he mentioned that he recently finished a first draft of an adaptation of his most recent book, "Specimen Days", to star Julianne Moore. 'Caleb' has more about the story:

"Apparently Moore, who starred in 'The Hours', asked Cunningham to do the adaptation personally, as he prefers not to adapt his own work. The most interesting part is that the movie will be based only the third part of the book, which is set in a New York 150 years in the future and focuses on the love story between an alien and android - I swear its true. Julianne apparently wants to play the alien lead, who Cunningham described as a "lizard woman." It sounds bizarre"
