Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo: "Commercials helmer Mike Bigelow will make his feature directing debut on "Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo," the Happy Madison-produced sequel that begins shooting in Amsterdam in July. Rob Schneider, who co-scripted, will reprise his starring role. Sony Pictures Entertainment is financing and distributing..." (more info). Factotum: "Matt Dillon and Marisa Tomei will star in Norwegian director Bent Hamer's "Factotum," adapted from poet Charles Bukowski's novel. The $2.5 million feature will start principal photography in June in Minneapolis. Pic is described by Hamer as a funny, touching and sometimes poetic account of a man determined to live life to the fullest, even if it means taking many jobs, loving many women and rejecting every part of the American dream..." The Bielski Brothers: "In their first team-up since the Jack Ryan films "Patriot Games" and "Clear and Present Danger," director Phillip Noyce and producer Mace Neufeld have made a deal with Warner Independent Pictures and Cherry Road Films on "The Bielski Brothers." Story concerns three Jewish brothers who heroically hid 1,250 Jews from the Nazis in a forest outside Belarus during WWII. Kathleen McLaughlin is writing the script, and Noyce will direct and produce with Neufeld and Cherry Road's Jonas Goodman..." (more info). Ice Princess: "Kim Cattrall is heading to the rink, signing on to play a former ice skating phenom in the Walt Disney Co.'s "Ice Princess." The project, directed by Tim Fywell, is Cattrall's first following her Golden Globe-winning run on HBO's "Sex and the City." Cattrall is taking on a role of an ice skating instructor who at one time had a chance to make the Olympics but now is helping Michelle Trachtenberg's character fulfill her skating dreams..."
