If there's one person you'd think wouldn't have a hard time finding a woman these days, it's Irish rabblerouser Colin Farrell. The chicks are falling all over him, and the guys are seriously considering gender reassignment in order to crack a shot at the hunk-a-spunk. Today however comes news that at least one good woman is needed for him, his film anyway.
Screen International reports that the producers on Terence Malik's "The New World" are running out of time to find a leading lady as shooting is supposed to start in July. In the film, Colin will play the headstrong Englishman John Smith in a new version of the Pocahontas story, the thing is the famed Native American girl is uncast.
It's expected this version will be a steamier version than say that Disney cartoon adaptation a few years back, nevertheless one little awkward factoid is that in historical fact the girl was 11 and Smith was 42 when the pair first met. It's doubtful Farrell will be playing a 42 year old so it's anyone's guess what age they'll make the Indian princess. In any case the hunt is on right now for a sacrifice... I mean co-star to the virile actor - who'll land the lucky job should be announced soon.
Thanks to 'That Saucy British Bad Girl'
