By Garth Franklin Monday May 15th 2006 06:07PM

While doing interviews about "X-Men: The Last Stand", Jackman told assorted press about the progress of the next film:

He said to Coming Soon that "We have two drafts and David is going to do another draft, and then we'll find our director. I'm not going to make a decision until I have the script right, but I'll definitely look at Brett [Ratner]. I don't want Wolverine to appear to be 'X-Men 4' in disguise; I don't want to make it stylistically the same. I want to do something different. That's my idea. Until we have the script, I don't really know who's right, but there's been a lot of interest from a lot of really amazing directors, so I'm really excited".

He told Latino Review not to expect familiar villains: "Too early to say, its fair to say that its probably going to be a prequel but its too early to say exactly who'll be in it, basically I wouldn't tell you". He also added "I don't think there'll be an X-Men 4".

He also denied rumous of being involved in "Superman Returns", saying "In fact I've heard many times for about the last month but its not true, its really not true". As for involvement in a "Batman Begins" sequel - "If Chris rang me to do something, I'd do it".
