Paramount Classics has acquired a comedy pitch based on the 2005 Steve Carell starring short "American Storage" reports Reuters.
The story revolves around a storage facility employee who discovers a man living in one of the units. The two men decide to turn the fledgling facility into an illegal low-rent apartment complex for an underground community of social misfits.
Andrew Cohen will direct from a screenplay penned by Brendan O'Brien and Cohen based on their screenplay for the short. "Numb3rs" star David Krumholtz also appeared in the original short.
