The purchase was made out of Moritz's Sony discretionary fund, and the project is expected to land at Columbia Pictures. "The Weinstein Co. has struck a deal to rep international rights to Exodus Film Group's CG-animated feature "Igor". TWC is distributing the pic in North America and will start selling off rights in Cannes. A twist on the monster genre penned by Chris McKenna, "Igor" follows a mad scientist's hunchbacked lab assistant, who has big dreams of winning the Evil Science Fair.
