Gold Circle Films has set Yann Samuell ("Love Me If You Dare") to direct the remake of the South Korean romantic comedy "My Sassy Girl" reports Variety.
Gurinder Chadha had previously been attached to direct the redo when the project was set up at DreamWorks. When "Sassy Girl" went into turnaround, Gold Circle beat out Fox Searchlight to acquire the Vic Levin adaptation with the aim to commence filming this fall.
Story concerns a small-town guy from the Midwest who thought he had his entire life mapped out -- until he falls for a reckless and brazen girl who turns his life upside down.
