Sonnenfeld Skips In A Meadow

By Garth Franklin Thursday May 4th 2006 08:10PM

Barry Sonnenfeld is in final negotiations to direct the coming-of-age tale "Andrew Henry's Meadow" for 20th Century Fox with John Davis and Zach Braff producing says The Hollywood Reporter.

"Meadow" is based on Doris Burn's classic children's book, first published in 1965. Burn's son, Mark, inspired the story, which was written during the period the family lived on Waldron Island in the San Juan Archipelago in Washington. The Pacific Coast island had no electricity, running water, telephones or stores.

Adam Braff will pen the script, no word as yet on production or release dates.
