Casino Royale Poster & Trailer

The internet outside the US went James Bond crazy this weekend it seems. Along with a beautifully stylish teaser poster released on a Finnish website for the film, the first footage was shown on French television and already bootleg copies have gone up online.

As a Bond fanatic I loved it, looks great. The 58 second piece of footage at first starts in black and white with Bond assassinating people in offices (and a lavatory) with a French voiceover. Then bang, the music theme begins and its exciting action with people leaping across scaffolding, gorgeous bikini babes slowly climbing out of water, sinister villains, a seaplane chase, explosions, a knife fight, gunfights, high tech gadgets, and so on.

A 5.7Mb Windows Media version is online but bandwidth restrictions may limit its availability. Hopefully a higher quality Quicktime copy will hit very soon when the trailer is polished and scheduled for release in the US with "The Da Vinci Code" this month. Working links can be found here, here, and here but no telling how long they'll last (the first one has multiples so should be up for a while).
