Miramax has picked up the rights to Robert Greenfield's "Timothy Leary: A Biography" and is getting to work on a biopic reports Variety.
Greenfield's book tells the story of how Leary, a Harvard professor, rose to become a prominent voice of the 1960s anti-establishment movement. Greenfield is a former associate editor of Rolling Stone's UK branch.
Harcourt Books will publish "Leary" on June 6th, scribe Bill Wheeler (Miramax's "The Hoax") has been tapped to adapt.
