One of the more funny stories that has emerged around actor Daniel Craig of late is that after he was cast as James Bond, he started getting a lot of extra attention from fans - not women though, rather gay guys who seemed much more interested in his admittedly hunky body than the fact he'll be playing 007.
Yet his casting as Bond has made a lot of people sit up and notice him now, including where he'll go afterwards. Today, The Hollywood News reports that Daniel Craig has apparently been talking about his first project after wrapping as Bond, and it appears he'll be playing The Devil himself.
The film in question is an adaptation of Glenn Duncan's novel "I, Lucifer" in which God is giving Satan a last shot at redemption; Satan must live out a blameless life as a human. Lucifer has no intention of taking God up on his offer, rather he simply wants to inhabit a body (Craig playing a failed British author) and put it through as much drug, sex and other multiple vice excess as possible in a month. But inhabiting a human body gives rise to feelings the Devil never thought possible...could he just possibly want to take God up on the offer after all.
Ewan McGregor is tipped to be co-starring in the UK-shot project which will be directed by Dan Harris ("Imaginary Heroes") and be penned by Harris and Mike Dougherty ("Superman Returns", "X2: X-Men United").
