During an interview with UGO, actress Lili Taylor revealed that she's getting behind the camera soon.
"I just optioned a book and I just wrote a rough draft. I don't think I'd be in it but I'd like to direct it. It's called Hula by Lisa Shea. It focuses on these two sisters that are 13 and ten. It has to do with their sexuality and stuff" says Taylor.
Set in the 1960s, and told over the course of two hot Virginia summers, "Hula" presents a child's-eye view of a family drama played out to a chilling climax. The younger sister narrates, introducing us to her older sister's ritual taunts, her mother's dreamy distance, and her war-scarred father's escalating temper.
