Warner Bros. Pictures has set Oscar-winning documentary director Kevin Macdonald ("One Day in September", "Touching The Void") to helm "28th Amendment," voting to give new life to the long-gestating political thriller which Richard Donner will produce reports Variety.
Story revolves around a young U.S. president who discovers the existence of a secret cabal that runs the government and wants him dead. Alex Kurtzman and Robert Orci's original script is now out to writers.
Macdonald's next film is the upcoming Idi Amin biopic "The Last King of Scotland" which Fox Searchlight will release this year.
