Vanguard Animation ("Valiant") has revealed that is $40 million computer-animated cartoon "Space Chimps" will be distributed in May 2008 through 20th Century Fox says Reuters.
"Chimps" is a family comedy about the descendants of the first chimps sent into space. Its written by Kirk DeMicco ("Racing Stripes") and is being directed by Norton Virgien ("The Rugrats Movie") and Donovan Cook ("Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers").
The film is the second of four IDT Entertainment is committed to offer Fox as part of a distribution deal signed last year.
