Dreamworks Opens A Punk Farm

DreamWorks Animation has acquired the rights to develop and produce the computer-animated feature "Punk Farm," inspired by Jarrett J. Krosoczka's children's book reports Reuters.

The story was developed by Kevin Messick, who will serve as executive producer on the project, and Jim Hecht ("Ice Age: The Meltdown") who will write the screenplay.

"Farm" tells the story of a group of farm animals who have one goal in mind -- to become an underground rock band. Together, a sheep, a chicken, a pig, a goat and a cow journey to perform at the first-ever animal music fest, Livestock.
