"Nicole Kidman's Blossom Films has signed a three-year, first-look feature film production deal with 20th Century Fox and Fox 2000 and set up a pair of projects at the studio. Pics in development are "The Bachelorette Party," adapted for the screen by Karen Lutz from her novel; and Fox-New Regency's "Headhunters," penned by writer-director Jez Butterworth, with whom Kidman worked on "Birthday Girl." Also set up is an untitled spy thriller to be written by Simon Kinberg, starring Kidman and produced by Blossom with Laurence Mark for Regency Enterprises and Fox. "Baz Luhrmann's untitled 1930s period epic starring Russell Crowe and Nicole Kidman, which was eyeing a September start date in Australia, has been pushed back because of scheduling conflicts and budget debates with 20th Century Fox. Crowe is set to star with Denzel Washington in Universal Pictures' "American Gangster," and the Ridley Scott-directed project will begin filming in July in New York, according to Universal. Because of the "Gangster" shooting schedule, while Crowe is committed to starring in the Luhrmann project, he could be unavailable to start another film in September.
