In a video interview with MovieFone, Eva Green confirmed that the upcoming James Bond "Casino Royale" production will be filming in the historic city of Venice, Italy.

CommanderBond.net has confirmed that Venice will be the site of a major action sequence for the climax. Some of the action will be filmed throughout the city and on banks of the Grand Canal, while the bulk will be filmed inside the famous 007 stage at Pinewood Studios.

The MGM/Columbia Pictures production began shooting in January and is due for release worldwide on 17 November 2006. Venice has featured at least twice in the Bond films before including the end scene of "From Russia with Love" and a famous motorised gondola chase in "Moonraker".
