I have to say that the art department at Sony sure knows what its doing when its trying. The first "Spider-Man" film launched with some excellent artwork involving the webslinger, the second film first displayed a great shot of Doc Ock, but poor Spidey himself seemed kind of bland. Now though, the boy has a new suit and is looking pretty slick.
Take note that this artwork is NOT in black and white, yes that is Spidey in a black costume - and we all know what happens with Spider-Man's black costume.
Ok so its not as cool as say that "Batman Begins" poster with him swooping down from above (the only great artwork from that film), but as superhero teaser posters go its one of the best in years - certainly better than the recent Fantastic Four, X3 or Superman teaser art for example.
Finally, it gets me excited again for the series - and I'm one of those 'freaks' who's not into comics and thought the last film was a little disappointing.
