Mischa Barton (The OC) and Shirley McLaine (Terms of Endearment, The Appartment) are confirmed to star in the forthcoming Irish film 'Closing The Ring' reports IFTN.
Set in the present day and World War 2, the 13 million Euro budgeted film follows an American woman who honoured a wartime promise of love, with a lifetime of denial. The the discovery of a gold ring on a distant Irish hillside brings her back to life.
Directed by Lord Richard Attenborough, the feature length romantic epic is scheduled to shoot in Ireland and the US in the coming months. Exactly what roles Barton and McLaine will take on the project is being kept under wraps.
