Universal's genre arm, Rogue Pictures, has picked up feature film rights to horror comic book series, HACK/SLASH, with music vid helmer Todd Lincoln set to direct for Producers Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter.
"Hack/Slash", created by Tim Seeley and Stefano Caselli, chronicles the adventures of Cassie Hack, a young woman who travels to small towns across the country hunting serial killers in the vein of Michael Meyers and Freddy Krueger.
Lincoln will script, having co-wrote Fox Searchlight's remake of "The Fly" he's also been developing as a directing vehicle. Askarieh and Alter are also producing film adaptations of vidgames "Hitman" and "Spy-Hunter".
