John Moore, who directed the upcoming horror remake "The Omen", told SCI FI Wire at WonderCon in San Francisco over the weekend that he's reluctant to shoot a sequel, should one come together.
"I tell you what, you could have a lot of fun... with the sequel in the world we live in now. you know? You really could hint at some pretty heavy issues... I don't know. I hope, God, I hope they don't. I hope they don't. We've had our fun, you know what I mean? We should respect [that]" says Moore.
Moore directed the remake of the 1976 The Omen, about an affluent couple who adopt a boy, not realizing that he may be the Antichrist. The original film spun off several sequels. But Moore said that he's not currently signed to do a second Omen movie.
In the meantime, Moore is rushing to meet The Omen's release date of June 6 - "The June date is ridiculous. We have to do traditionally 40 weeks' work in about 12... we kind of would be remiss not to hit that date. But the shaft is, I mean, we're scoring in six weeks. And we haven't written a note of music" he revealed.
