"Brokeback Mountain" took the two main awards at the 11th London Critics' Circle Awards this week, Ang Lee's romancier taking best film and director.
Bruno Ganz ("Downfall") and Naomi Watts ("King Kong") took best acting nods, Thandie Newton ("Crash") and Tom Hollander ("Pride & Prejudice") got best supporting actor awards, and "Crash" got best screenplay.
On the local front, helmer Joe Wright and his "Pride and Prejudice" adaptation took best Brit film and director. Finally Ralph Fiennes and Rachel Weisz took best British actor and actress for their work in "The Constant Gardener".
