Peter Sarsgaard and Tony Goldwyn will team for a screen adaptation of Craig Lucas' award winning play "Small Tragedy" reports Production Weekly.
In the film, the director (Goldwyn) of a fringe play in London starts auditioning cast members for "Oedipus Rex", with no-one aware that he is a celebrated indie film director who disappeared from the scene a few years back. As the cast members go through rehearsals, they learn a few surprising truths about life, love, loss and betrayal.
Sarsgaard will play a young Bosnian economics student who turns out to be the group's one gifted actor. Filming begins mid-April in London.
