Trade Breaks: Evening, Disturbia, Colter

"Frank Langella and Lauren Ambrose will topline the indie pic "Starting out in the Evening," to be helmed by Andrew Wagner. Pic is a bigscreen adaptation of the novel by Brian Morton. Adrian Lester will also star in the project, which follows a writer whose world is shaken when an ambitious grad student convinces him that she can use her thesis to bring him back into the lit world spotlight. Steven Spielberg will executive produce the project scripted by Christopher Landon. Bought as a spec by Dreamworks last fall, the story revolves around a troubled high school senior, still grieving over his father's death, who is sentenced to house arrest after an outburst of anger at school..." "Phoenix Pictures has set Carroll Ballard to direct the period action drama "Colter's Run" after acquiring the Mark St. Germain script in turnaround from MGM. The drama concerns John Colter, a guide with Lewis and Clark's Corps. Of Discovery expedition in 1803. Colter left that expedition to make his fortune trapping beavers, but he and other trappers were ambushed by the Blackfeet Indian tribe.
