Young Bond & Slim Cruise Talk

By Garth Franklin Tuesday April 13th 2004 10:32PM

Those young 'reinvented James Bond' franchise rumours are getting more detailled every day.
this morning.

"Fast Show" boy Charlie Higson indicated on the Jonathan Ross radio show in the UK that he has been comissioned by the owners of the Bond license to produce a series of books on the "young" James Bond - at college and university. He stated he's already finished and delivered the first. According to listener 'Bilko52', Ross was pretty unimpressed - it doesn't take a big guess to see that they are trying to come up with a Harry Potter style twist with the formative years of the spy at spy school. Blatantly once these are published, the chances that we'll see a teen Bond movie will rise.

Meanwhile in one of those ridiculously silly stories of Hollywood standards of fitness,The Indy Star reports that movie bosses are demanding Tom Cruise lose weight for his starring role in the film sequel "Mission Impossible 3," and thus have put him on a strict diet. Cruise, not exactly known for being a fat ass, is in Berlin scouting locations for the action movie and will be on the special eating plan whilst abroad.

Thanks to 'Bilko52'& 'Dust Bunny'.
