Trade Breaks: Fish, Lee, Bridge, Dark

"First Look Studios has caught U.S. rights to the Aussie drama "Little Fish," starring Cate Blanchett as an ex-heroin addict. First Look Pictures, will unveil the movie theatrically in March, while its domestic home video division will follow with a DVD release. In Rowan Woods' dark film, Blanchett plays a woman struggling to rebuild her life while taking care of a junkie mentor (Hugo Weaving) who has been deprived of drugs by his dealer/lover (Sam Neill). Her world is further complicated when an ex-boyfriend (Dustin Nguyen) returns for a final drug deal, recruiting both her and her brother (Martin Henderson) in the process..." (full details)

Jennifer Lopez will topline New Line's "Bridge and Tunnel," portraying a stock trader who relies on a suburban teen who day-trades on his home PC. Production on the romantic comedy is expected to begin in late spring, with Greg Berlanti directing. Studio's still looking to cast the male lead. Cherry Road Films and Double Edge Entertainment are producing the teen horror pic "Dark Reaches." Jessica Pare ("Notorious") and Johnny Lewis ("The OC") are in talks to star.
