Reuters has confirmed speculation originally posted on Aquaman TV this weekend that 28-year-old Will Toale will be playing the lead role of Arthur "A.C." Curry in the "Aquaman" TV pilot.
6'2 model Toale's work include soapie "Guiding Light", TV film "Tempting Adam" and a role as a 'briefs model' in 2004's "Uptown Girls". He was selected from over 400 candidates from around the globe by the show's producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (creators of TV's "Smallville").
The character appeared on a recent episode of "Smallville" played by model Alan Ritchson who got a lot of acclaim for his body but little to none for his acting, so he was 'not even a contender' for the show which is expected to take the character in a new direction.
The pilot is scheduled to film in March, possibly in Miami. A new title is expected too.
